Guided tours and booking
Bohusläns museum is a good place to start your visit in Bohuslän! The museum will provide understanding for the character of the landscape and how it has been shaped. We offer guided tours on various themes. Our guides are experts in their fields - ethnology, art, biology and environment among others.
For groups of up to 30 people we offer:
General guided tour.
A walk through the museum, including both permanent and temporary exhibitions. We tell you about the history of Bohuslän, its culture and nature. Bohuslän is characterized by the sea, and the border location between Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
Art at Bohusläns museum.
The Johnson collection - an historical art tour from the still lives of the 17th century through Anders Zorn and Bruno Liljefors, to our own great Carl Wilhelmson. We take a look at the outstanding art of the Johnson collection, a large donation to Uddevalla from the businessman John Johnson. The collection consists of 67 works, all representing the pinnacle of artistic creation.
Contemporary art. The new art gallery at Bohusläns museum was opened in 2002. It displays temporary exhibitions, mainly by contemporary artists.
A guided tour lasts about 45 minutes, but can be adapted according to requests from the group. Current fees are SEK 700:-/tour during weekdays until 18.00. Week nights after 18.00, Saturdays and Sundays, SEK 1000:-/tour.

An introduction to Bohusläns museum
We receive your group and tell you about our work, activities and events, to give an introduction to what the museum offers. Then the group are free to explore the museum on their own. If the lecture hall is available, the introduction can be combined with one of our beautiful slideshows.
An introduction lasts for about 15 minutes. Price: SEK 300:-.
Tickets can be bought in advance from our reception, starting a week from the event in question. We accept phone bookings, call 0522-65 65 01 or 65 65 00. If you have tickets booked in advance, please get them at least 15 minutes before starting time.
