A walk through the museum, including both permanent and temporary exhibitions.  We tell you about the history of Bohuslän, its culture and nature. Bohuslän is characterized by the sea, and the border location between Norway, Denmark and Sweden.

The Johnson collection - an historical art tour from the still lives of the 17th century through Anders Zorn and Bruno Liljefors, to our own great Carl Wilhelmson. We take a look at the outstanding art of the Johnson collection, a large donation to Uddevalla from the businessman John Johnson. The collection consists of 67 works, all representing the pinnacle of artistic creation. 

Contemporary art. The new art gallery at Bohusläns museum was opened in 2002. It displays temporary exhibitions, mainly by contemporary artists.

We receive your group and tell you about our work, activities and events, to give an introduction to what the museum offers. Then the group are free to explore the museum on their own. If the lecture hall is available, the introduction can be combined with one of our beautiful slideshows.
